Alton “Crack” McNeill White, 74, of Raeford, formerly of Pembroke, died Feb. 3, 2006, at Autumn Care of Raeford. The graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Philadelphus Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Buie Philadelphus Road in Red Springs, the Rev. Stan Smith officiating.

Alton resident Joanne Stevenson, 34, was a kind and generous person who instantly lit up a room, family members say. Stevenson died instantly last week, when the snowmobile she was riding on collided with a car near Collingwood.
